The accommodation pages do not list garden or plot size in square metres, so no single Holiday Homes Maridu house can be named as having the “most” outdoor space by measurement. What we can tell you concretely is that all nine homes have a garden, and that the freestanding houses on their own private plots give you the most surrounding ground: Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne in the Czech Republic (Giant Mountains) each sit on a spacious private plot with multiple terraces. If outdoor wellness is what “outdoor space” means to you, the homes with the fullest set of features are Marianne, Celine, Family Wellness and Wellness, which each combine a garden, a hot tub and a sauna.
Homes with the most surrounding ground
The three Czech homes are freestanding villas on large private plots with several terraces, so they offer the most private outdoor room. The Veluwe tiny houses sit in a wooded resort setting, which feels spacious but is shared parkland rather than a private plot.
- Celine (Czech Republic, Markoušovice near Trutnov) is freestanding on a spacious private plot with multiple terraces.
- Marianne (Czech Republic, Markoušovice, Giant Mountains) is a luxury villa on a large open plot with several terraces.
- Elizabeth (Czech Republic, Roztoky u Jilemnice) is a freestanding house with a garden.
- Family L-Cube (Resort De Hooge Veluwe, Arnhem) has an extensive private garden.
- Family Wellness (Hattemerbroek near Zwolle) has a large garden with a terrace.
- Ayla, Tiny Cube, Forest Cube and Wellness (all at Resort De Hooge Veluwe, Koningsweg 14) each have a garden within the wooded resort grounds.
Outdoor wellness: hot tubs, saunas and fire pits
If your idea of great outdoor space is a hot tub under the trees, a sauna or an evening fire, here is exactly where to find each feature.
- Hot tub available: Ayla, Celine, Marianne, Family Wellness, Wellness, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube. Not available: Elizabeth and Family L-Cube. At Tiny Cube and Forest Cube the hot tub is shared and wood-fired.
- Sauna available: Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness. Not available: Ayla, Elizabeth, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube.
- Fire pit available: Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube. Not available: Ayla, Family L-Cube and Family Wellness.
- Outdoor BBQ/grill available: Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Family Wellness and Wellness. Not available: Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube.
The homes that bring the most of these together outdoors are Marianne, Celine and Wellness (hot tub, sauna, fire pit and BBQ) and Family Wellness (hot tub, sauna and BBQ, with a large garden and terrace).
A swimming pool as part of your outdoor time
The six Netherlands homes at Resort De Hooge Veluwe (Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube) and Family Wellness in Hattemerbroek have access to a swimming pool. For the five Veluwe homes this is a shared resort pool, not a private one. The three Czech homes (Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne) do not have a pool. If a pool matters for your stay, choose one of the Netherlands homes.
Good to check before you book
Because plot size is not published as a number, open the accommodation page for each home you are comparing and look for:
- Photos of the garden, terraces and surroundings, so you can judge the space for yourself.
- Whether a hot tub is private or shared (shared and wood-fired at Tiny Cube and Forest Cube).
- Location, since the Czech villas sit on private plots and the Veluwe homes share wooded resort grounds.
- Capacity and pet policy for your group: capacity runs from 2 guests (Wellness) up to 8 (Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne), and pets are welcome everywhere except Elizabeth (a pet fee applies, always by prior written agreement).
