For a couple’s stay, the Wellness chalet is the best fit: it sleeps exactly two guests in one bedroom and one bathroom, and it is a stylish wellness chalet (built in 2021) with both a private sauna and a hot tub. It sits at Resort De Hooge Veluwe (Koningsweg 14, Schaarsbergen entrance, near Arnhem) and is single-level (ground floor). If you want both a sauna and a hot tub but a little more room, Celine, Marianne and Family Wellness offer the same wellness combination for larger groups. For anything not listed below, confirm the details on the accommodation page before booking.
The best home for two: Wellness
The Wellness chalet is the only Maridu home built specifically for two people, which makes it the natural choice for a romantic weekend. What you get:
- Just for two — 2 guests, 1 bedroom, 1 bed, 1 bathroom. It is described as a hotel-style suite for couples.
- Sauna and hot tub — both are available at this chalet.
- Single-level — the Wellness chalet is on the ground floor.
- Outdoor extras — a garden, a fire pit and a BBQ/grill.
- A l'intérieur — Smart TV, coffee maker, dishwasher and a washing machine. Bed linen is included; towels are not included at this chalet.
- Resort pool — guests can use the swimming pool at Resort De Hooge Veluwe.
- Animaux de compagnie — allowed, with a pet fee of 39 euro (written approval required in advance).
More room for two, or two couples together
If you want the full sauna-and-hot-tub combination but more space than a two-person chalet, three homes offer both:
- Family Wellness (Hattemerbroek, near Zwolle) — 5 guests, 2 bedrooms; a luxury wellness chalet with sauna, hot tub and the resort’s swimming pool. It is fully single-level and step-free, and it is the only Maridu home with contactless self check-in. Towels and bed linen are both included.
- Céline (Czech Republic, Giant Mountains, near Trutnov) — 8 guests, 4 bedrooms; a detached villa on a large private plot with a hot tub (heated to 40°C in about 2 hours) and a sauna with panoramic views.
- Marianne (Czech Republic, Giant Mountains) — 8 guests, 4 bedrooms; a luxury villa on a spacious private plot with a hot tub and a Finnish sauna.
Prefer a hot tub without the sauna? Ayla (Schaarsbergen, near De Hooge Veluwe) is a modern detached chalet in the forest for 4 guests with a private hot tub. The tiny houses Forest Cube and Tiny Cube (both at the same resort) each sleep 4 and have a shared, wood-fired hot tub and a wood pellet stove inside, but no sauna.
Sauna and hot tub, by home
Wellness features differ per home. Here is exactly where each one is available:
- Sauna available: Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness. Not available: Ayla, Elizabeth, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube.
- Hot tub available: Ayla, Celine, Marianne, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube. Not available: Elizabeth and Family L-Cube.
