For a proper workation, though, five stand out because they list a laptop-friendly workspace: Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne in the Czech Republic (Krkonoše, the Giant Mountains) and Family L-Cube and Wellness in the Netherlands on the Veluwe (Resort De Hooge Veluwe, Arnhem/Schaarsbergen). All five sit in quiet, green surroundings, and Family L-Cube and Wellness also have the highest listed WiFi speed at 50+ Mbps.
What makes a Maridu home suitable for a workation
A comfortable workation usually comes down to a few things, and here is how the Maridu houses line up:

Solo, couple or team: matching the home to your group
Capacity is the quickest way to narrow the choice. Wellness sleeps 2, which suits one person or a couple who want quiet and a workspace in one place. Family L-Cube sleeps 6 across 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, so a family or small team can spread out. In the Czech Republic, Celine, Marianne and Elizabeth each sleep 8, giving a larger group room to work and relax. Because all of these homes have WiFi and a kitchen, the deciding factors are usually group size, location and whether you want a hot tub or sauna to wind down after the working day.

- Group size against the home’s capacity, since occupancy is limited to the number of guests booked.
- Whether you want air conditioning, which only Tiny Cube and Wellness have.
