Five of them share one address on the Veluwe: Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube all sit at Koningsweg 14, Resort De Hooge Veluwe (entrance Schaarsbergen, Arnhem), surrounded by forest and nature to ride through. The sixth, Family Wellness, is in Hattemerbroek near Zwolle. Because the five Veluwe homes are on the same plot, they are equally placed for local rides, so your choice comes down to group size and which facilities you want after a day in the saddle. Where the cycling homes are
The Dutch homes are the natural base for cycling on the Veluwe. They are grouped as follows:
- Resort De Hooge Veluwe, Arnhem/Schaarsbergen (Koningsweg 14): Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube. All five are at the same address, so they are equally located for rides in the surrounding forest.
- Hattemerbroek, near Zwolle (Vogelzangveldweg 23): Family Wellness.
- Not suited for a Veluwe cycling trip: Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne are in Czechia (the Giant Mountains/Krkonoše), so they are outside the scope of this guide.

- Couples (2 guests): Wellness, a wellness chalet for two with a private hot tub and sauna.

- Families (5 to 6 guests): Family Wellness (5 guests, 2 bedrooms, near Zwolle, private hot tub and sauna) or Family L-Cube (6 guests, 3 bedrooms, sauna, on the Veluwe).
Facilities to relax after a ride
A hot tub or sauna is a welcome way to unwind after cycling. Among the six Netherlands homes:
- Hot tub: available at Ayla, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube (shared, wood-fired), Wellness and Forest Cube (shared, wood-fired). Not at Family L-Cube.
- Sauna: available at Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness. Not at Ayla, Tiny Cube or Forest Cube.
- Swimming pool (resort pool): included with all five Veluwe homes (Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness, Forest Cube). Family Wellness near Zwolle also has a pool.
- Garden: all six homes have one.
Practical amenities for a longer trip
Amenities differ per home. For the six Netherlands homes, here is what you can count on:
- Washing machine: Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness have one. Ayla, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube do not.
- Dishwasher: Ayla, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness have one. Tiny Cube and Forest Cube do not.
- Coffee maker: all six homes have one. Every home also includes bed linen.
- Towels included: Ayla, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube. Not included at Family L-Cube or Wellness.
- Smart TV: Family L-Cube, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube have one (Tiny Cube and Forest Cube via Chromecast). Ayla does not.
- Single-level, step-free access: Family Wellness and Wellness are single-level; the other four are not.
Bringing a dog
All six Netherlands homes allow pets, always with written approval in advance. The pet fee depends on the home: €35 at Ayla, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube; €39 at Wellness; €49 at Family L-Cube; and €60 at Family Wellness.
