What should you do if there is damage or a problem during your stay?

Contact Holiday Homes Maridu straight away by phone at +31 6 27 43 36 09 or email info@holidayhomesmaridu.com. A host is on site at eight of the nine homes; only Family Wellness uses contactless self check-in.

If something breaks or goes wrong during your stay, contact Holiday Homes Maridu directly by phone at +31 6 27 43 36 09 or by email at info@holidayhomesmaridu.com, and report it as soon as you notice it rather than at check-out. In most of our homes the host or a local contact is on site to help: at all six homes on the Veluwe (Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube in Arnhem, plus Family Wellness near Zwolle) and at the three homes in the Czech Republic (Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne) you are received in person. The only home with contactless self check-in is Family Wellness, so there you contact us by phone or email instead of meeting a host. In the Czech Republic the host is on site and speaks Czech, Dutch and English.

Who to contact and when

Report problems the moment you notice them, not at check-out, so the team can resolve the issue while you are still on site. Use the same contact details for every home:

  • Phone: +31 6 27 43 36 09
  • Email: info@holidayhomesmaridu.com

Keep your booking details to hand so your stay can be identified quickly. If a fault affects something specific to your home, describe it clearly. A few examples of home-specific equipment that guests ask about:

  • Pellet stove for indoor heating: Tiny Cube and Forest Cube each have one.
  • Hot tub: available at Ayla, Celine, Marianne, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube (not at Elizabeth or Family L-Cube). At Tiny Cube and Forest Cube the hot tub is shared and wood-fired; at Celine it is heated on request and reaches up to 40°C in about two hours.
  • Sauna: available at Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness (not at Ayla, Elizabeth, Tiny Cube or Forest Cube).
  • Kitchen appliances: a dishwasher is present at Ayla, Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness, and a washing machine at Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness.
  • TV: a Smart TV is provided at Elizabeth, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube, with Chromecast specifically at Tiny Cube and Forest Cube.

Damage and the security deposit

A security deposit may be requested on arrival. If it is charged, it is refunded after inspection when there is no damage, loss, or rule violation. Reporting accidental damage promptly helps avoid disputes during the post-stay inspection. Being open about a small mishap is always better than leaving it to be discovered later.

Three house rules apply to all nine homes and can affect the deposit if broken: occupancy is limited to the number of booked guests, parties or gatherings are not allowed, and smoking inside is not permitted.

Getting help at your specific home

How you reach help depends slightly on where you are staying:

  • Family Wellness (Hattemerbroek, near Zwolle): this is our only home with contactless self check-in, so if anything goes wrong you reach us by phone or email rather than through an on-site host.
  • Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube (Resort De Hooge Veluwe, Koningsweg 14, Arnhem): all five share the same resort address, so on-site assistance works the same way at each.
  • Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne (Giant Mountains, Czech Republic): the host is on site and speaks Czech, Dutch and English, so you can report an issue in person.

Whichever home you are in, the phone number and email above always reach the team. For details that depend on your exact booking, such as whether a cot or high chair is set up for your dates, check your accommodation page or ask us to confirm.

FAQ

Who do I contact if something breaks during my stay?

Contact Holiday Homes Maridu by phone at +31 6 27 43 36 09 or by email at info@holidayhomesmaridu.com as soon as possible. At the six Veluwe homes and the three Czech homes a host or local contact is on site to help; Family Wellness uses contactless self check-in, so there you reach us by phone or email.

Will I lose my deposit if I accidentally damage something?

A deposit may be charged on arrival and, if so, is refunded after inspection when there is no damage, loss, or rule breach. Report any accidental damage promptly so it can be noted and handled fairly.

The heating in my home is not working. What should I do?

Call +31 6 27 43 36 09 or email info@holidayhomesmaridu.com and describe the problem. If you are at Tiny Cube or Forest Cube, note that indoor heating there is provided by a pellet stove, so mention that when you report the issue.

Is someone on site if I need help in person?

Yes, at eight of the nine homes you are received in person by a host or local contact. In the Czech Republic (Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne) the host speaks Czech, Dutch and English. Family Wellness is the exception, with contactless self check-in, so there you contact us by phone or email.
