Holiday Homes Maridu has six homes at Resort De Hooge Veluwe in the Arnhem and Schaarsbergen area: Ayla, Family L-Cube, Forest Cube, Tiny Cube and Wellness all share the same address at Koningsweg 14 (Schaarsbergen entrance), right in the forest. Because they sit on the same resort grounds, they are equally close to the Veluwe attractions. A seventh Dutch home, Family Wellness, is often grouped with these but is actually in Hattemerbroek near Zwolle, some distance away, so pick one of the Koningsweg homes if being on the Veluwe matters to you.
The homes at Resort De Hooge Veluwe
These five Maridu homes are all at Koningsweg 14 in Arnhem/Schaarsbergen, on the grounds of Resort De Hooge Veluwe. They all have a garden and free parking, and guests can use the resort swimming pool:
- Ayla — modern detached chalet in the forest, sleeps 4 (2 bedrooms, 3 beds, 1 bathroom). Has a private hot tub; no sauna.
- Family L-Cube — larger home near the main entrance, sleeps 6 (3 bedrooms, 6 beds, 2 bathrooms). Has a sauna and its own extensive private garden; no hot tub.
- Tiny Cube — tiny house with an indoor pellet stove and a sleeping loft, sleeps 4 (2 bedrooms, 4 beds, 1 bathroom). Has a shared wood-fired hot tub and a fire pit.
- Forest Cube — tiny house with the same concept as Tiny Cube (indoor pellet stove, sleeping loft), sleeps 4 (2 bedrooms, 4 beds, 1 bathroom). Has a shared wood-fired hot tub and a fire pit.
- Wellness — stylish wellness chalet from 2021, ideal for couples, sleeps 2 (1 bedroom, 1 bed, 1 bathroom). Has a private hot tub and sauna, plus a fire pit. Single-level living.
A note on Family Wellness
Family Wellness is sometimes listed alongside the Veluwe homes, but it is in Hattemerbroek near Zwolle, not at Resort De Hooge Veluwe. It is a family wellness chalet that sleeps 5 (2 bedrooms, 2 beds, 1 bathroom) with a private hot tub, sauna and swimming pool, a large garden with terrace, and a BBQ. It is also the only Maridu home that is fully single-level and step-free, and the only one with contactless self check-in. If proximity to De Hooge Veluwe is your priority, choose one of the Koningsweg homes instead.
Facilities across the Veluwe homes
The six Dutch homes differ in their amenities. Here is how the main facilities are spread:
- Swimming pool (resort pool): available to all six Dutch homes — Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Forest Cube, Wellness and Family Wellness. It is a shared resort facility, not private (Family Wellness has its own pool).
- Hot tub: Ayla, Tiny Cube, Forest Cube, Wellness and Family Wellness. Not at Family L-Cube. The tubs at Tiny Cube and Forest Cube are shared and wood-fired.
- Sauna: Family L-Cube, Wellness and Family Wellness. Not at Ayla, Tiny Cube or Forest Cube.
- BBQ/grill: Wellness and Family Wellness. Not at Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube or Forest Cube.
- Fire pit: Tiny Cube, Forest Cube and Wellness. Not at Ayla, Family L-Cube or Family Wellness.
- Single-level living: Wellness and Family Wellness. The others have stairs or a sleeping loft.
- Pets: allowed at all six Dutch homes, with prior written consent and a pet fee — Ayla, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube €35, Wellness €39, Family L-Cube €49, Family Wellness €60.

Are pets allowed in these homes?
Yes. Pets are welcome at all six Dutch homes — Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Forest Cube, Wellness and Family Wellness — with prior written consent and a pet fee (€35 at Ayla, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube; €39 at Wellness; €49 at Family L-Cube; €60 at Family Wellness). Among the Czech homes, only Elizabeth does not accept pets.
Do any of these homes have a private swimming pool?
At Resort De Hooge Veluwe the pool is a shared resort facility, available to Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Forest Cube and Wellness. Family Wellness in Hattemerbroek has its own swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.
Which of these is suitable for couples?
Wellness is the best fit for couples: it is a 2021 wellness chalet sleeping 2, with a private hot tub, sauna and single-level living. Families or larger groups may prefer Family L-Cube, which sleeps 6.

Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Forest Cube and Wellness are all at Koningsweg 14 on the grounds of Resort De Hooge Veluwe (Schaarsbergen entrance), so they are equally close to the Veluwe.
