Smoking inside is not allowed in any Holiday Homes Maridu accommodation. This is a fixed house rule that applies to all nine homes without exception: Ayla, Celine, Elizabeth, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness, Forest Cube, Marianne, Tiny Cube and Wellness. If you smoke, you will need to do so outside.
Which homes the smoke-free rule covers
The no-smoking rule applies to the interior of every home, in every location. It is the same everywhere, so there is no property where indoor smoking is permitted. The homes it covers are:
- Czech Republic (Giant Mountains): Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne.
- Netherlands, Resort De Hooge Veluwe near Arnhem and Schaarsbergen: Ayla, Family L-Cube, Forest Cube, Tiny Cube and Wellness.
- Netherlands, Hattemerbroek near Zwolle: Family Wellness.
The smoke-free rule sits alongside the other house rules that apply to all homes: no parties or gatherings, and occupancy limited to the number of booked guests.
Smoking outdoors
The rule applies to the interior. Every one of the nine homes has a garden, so there is outdoor space at each property if you smoke outside. Several homes also have a fire pit, which gives you an outdoor spot to sit in the evening: Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube have a fire pit; Ayla, Family L-Cube and Family Wellness do not. Please keep any outdoor smoking away from doors and windows so it does not drift back inside.
Choosing between the homes
Because the smoke-free rule is identical everywhere, your choice between homes can focus on other factors. A few that differ per home:
- Capacity: Wellness sleeps 2; Ayla, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube sleep 4; Family Wellness sleeps 5; Family L-Cube sleeps 6; Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne sleep 8.
- Pets: allowed at Ayla, Celine, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness, Forest Cube, Marianne, Tiny Cube and Wellness (a pet fee applies and written approval in advance is required); not allowed at Elizabeth.
- A security deposit may be requested on arrival and is refunded after inspection if there is no damage, loss or rule violation.
Check-in is between 15:00 and 23:00 and check-out is at 10:00 at every home, with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
