What information should you check before booking?

Before booking a Holiday Homes Maridu house, confirm the four details that differ per home: how many guests it sleeps (from 2 at Wellness up to 8 at Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne), its location, whether pets are allowed, and its cancellation policy.

Before you book a Holiday Homes Maridu house, confirm the four details that genuinely differ per home: how many guests it sleeps, where it stands, whether pets are allowed, and its cancellation policy. Holiday Homes Maridu has nine houses across two countries: three in the Czech Republic (Giant Mountains, near Trutnov and Jilemnice) and six in the Netherlands. Capacity ranges from 2 guests (Wellness) up to 8 (Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne), pets are welcome everywhere except Elizabeth, and the cancellation policy is set individually per house. The concrete figures below tell you what applies to each home so you do not have to guess.

How many guests does each home sleep?

Capacity is fixed per home, so match it to your group before booking:

  • 2 guests: Wellness (near Arnhem) — a stylish chalet built for couples
  • 4 guests: Ayla, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube (all near Arnhem)
  • 5 guests: Family Wellness (Hattemerbroek, near Zwolle)
  • 6 guests: Family L-Cube (near Arnhem)
  • 8 guests: Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne (all in the Czech Republic)

Occupancy is limited to the number of booked guests at every home, so book for your full party size.

Where is each home located?

The homes sit in three areas. Knowing which one you are booking matters, because the registration address on some booking pages is not where the house actually stands.

  • Czech Republic (Giant Mountains): Celine, Elizabeth and Marianne — freestanding houses on spacious private grounds
  • Netherlands, Resort De Hooge Veluwe (Koningsweg 14, near Arnhem and Schaarsbergen): Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube — these five share the same resort address
  • Netherlands, Hattemerbroek near Zwolle: Family Wellness

Because the five Veluwe homes are all at Koningsweg 14, they are equally placed for anything on the Hoge Veluwe estate. The shared resort swimming pool is available to all six Netherlands homes (the five at the resort plus Family Wellness); the three Czech houses do not have a pool.

Are pets allowed, and what does it cost?

Eight of the nine homes welcome pets; only Elizabeth does not. Pets always require written approval in advance, and a pet fee applies per home:

  • Allowed: Ayla and Tiny Cube and Forest Cube (pet fee 35 euro each), Wellness (39 euro), Family L-Cube (49 euro), Celine and Family Wellness (60 euro each), Marianne (70 euro)
  • Not allowed: Elizabeth

Which facilities does each home have?

Facilities are not identical across the homes, so check the specific feature you care about rather than assuming. Here is where each of the most-asked amenities is confirmed:

  • Hot tub: available at Ayla, Celine, Marianne, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube; not at Elizabeth or Family L-Cube
  • Sauna: available at Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness; not at Ayla, Elizabeth, Tiny Cube or Forest Cube
  • BBQ or grill: available at Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Family Wellness and Wellness; not at Ayla, Family L-Cube, Tiny Cube or Forest Cube
  • Fire pit: available at Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube; not at Ayla, Family L-Cube or Family Wellness
  • Swimming pool: the shared resort pool serves the six Netherlands homes (Ayla, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube, Wellness and Forest Cube); none of the homes has a private pool, and the three Czech houses have no pool
  • Garden: all nine homes have one

Bed linen is included at all nine homes. Towels are included at Ayla, Elizabeth, Family Wellness, Tiny Cube and Forest Cube, but not at Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube or Wellness. A washing machine is provided at Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness, and a dishwasher at Ayla, Celine, Marianne, Family L-Cube, Family Wellness and Wellness.

Accessibility and check-in

If step-free access matters, two homes are single-level: Family Wellness (also threshold-free) and Wellness. The other seven have stairs or a sleeping loft, so confirm the layout on the listing if mobility is a concern.

Check-in is from 15:00 (until 23:00) and check-out is by 10:00 at every home, with a minimum stay of two nights. Family Wellness is the only home with contactless self check-in; at all other homes you are welcomed and receive the key from the host on arrival. At the Czech homes the host is on site and speaks Czech, Dutch and English.

House rules that apply everywhere

  • Smoking inside is not allowed
  • Parties and gatherings are not allowed
  • Occupancy is limited to the number of booked guests
  • A refundable security deposit may be requested on arrival and is returned after inspection if there is no damage or breach

Cancellation and payment terms

The cancellation policy is set per home rather than by one shared rule:

  • Flexible: Family L-Cube
  • Firm: Celine, Elizabeth, Marianne, Tiny Cube and Wellness
  • Strict: Ayla, Family Wellness and Forest Cube

Exact payment terms can also depend on the booking channel, so read the current booking conditions for your chosen home before paying. If anything is unclear, contact Holiday Homes Maridu at info@holidayhomesmaridu.com or +31 6 27 43 36 09.
